Course Memo
This course is designed to present the knowledge and clinical skills necessary to become a certified nursing assistant. The curriculum follows Maine guidelines, including: caring for the patient's physical systems, infection control, care of patients throughout the lifespan, and entering the health care field. The student is introduced to the concepts of legal and ethical aspects of care, communication, documentation, and safety. The course includes both classroom and clinical instruction. The state certification examination will be offered at the end of the course.
